May and Summer '09
In Richmond for the summer? Come to the farm!
During May farm days will be held as per usual.
Outside of farm day, everyone is welcome at anytime to come and join planting, weeding, working, eating, and loving our farm.
Unsure what is involved at Miller Farm for the summer? Check out the [Summer Handbook (http://www.millerfarm.org/wiki/Summer_Handbook)]
Senior gift '09
The senior gift for the class of '09 was dedicated to Miller Farm! The money is going to a lot of exciting projects, including a windmill and a new compost cart. For more information check out the Earlham website (http://www.earlham.edu/alumni/content/campaign/news/senior_gift09.html)
Ag Meeting
Want to be involved in planning Farm Day or learn more about Miller Farm? Come to Ag Meeting, held every Tuesday at 8:30 pm in the lounge outside of Leeds Gallery, in Runyan Center. Just want to hear what's in store for the next Farm Day? Subscribe to our farmday e-mail list (http://www.earlham.edu/mailman/listinfo/farmday)!
Ag Meetings will not be held during the summer, so stop by or Send us an e-mail (http://www.earlham.edu/webteam/resources/eav/?u=farmers) to hear the news!
Farm Day
To help get things done on the farm and involve the larger community in what we're doing, we hold Farm Day every Saturday at 10:00 am. Come work for 2-3 hours and get rewarded with a free delicious lunch! We run a shuttle from the Clear Creek Coop (http://www.clearcreekcoop.org/general/) (on Earlham (http://www.earlham.edu/) campus) just before 10:00.
Farm Related Classes
Summer 06 an ENPR class entitled Sustainable Systems was held at the farm. So far an energy audit of Miller Farm has been completed, and the plans and construction of a solar hot water heater has begun. Check out the specifics at Sustainable Systems Class Wiki (http://wiki.cs.earlham.edu/index.php/Enpr-256)
